Who is your go to for HPTuners tuning?

Since I'm new to the Camaro world (coming from Jeeps), I am curious as to who everyone recommends for HPTuners tunes?

I currently have the following setup on my 2013 Camaro SS (LS3):

- ARH long tube headers (no cats)
- ARH X-pipe
- ARH exhaust / mufflers
- Roto-Fab intake
- 3.91 gears
- HPTuner MPVI2

I will soon be adding the GPI MAX Performance package, but until then, I'd like to have someone give me a good tune for the vehicle as it currently sits.

I'm looking for someone who can tune it remotely (not sure what I need for this?), since I'm fairly certain there aren't any "good" tuners here in Oregon (not that I know of at least).

Thanks in advance!

GPI

Ryan (Rhino79) is top notch. Does a ton of remote tunes. They are my goto shop...

Well that definitely kills two birds with one stone... especially since I'm going to order their MAX Performance package at the end of this month

I'll have to ask if they can remote tune it though. On their website it says "In House (Not Remote)":

Yep :o) have used Ryan and GPI for over 5 years.

My build thread (it’s long) will show my building using GPI kits and all the rebuilds I finally had them do... warts and all...

Lots of racing involved ;o)

Can I assume he remote tuned yours then, since you're in Texas?

I'll check out your build thread. I'm hoping I'll be able to see 500rwhp from the Max Performance package coupled with my existing mods.

I'm not sure if it will be possible though on 91 octane (which is all we get here in Oregon, no E85).

After that I have to decide if I want to continue the path of NA, or throw on a Magnuson Heartbeat supercharger.

He did for a long time - then I bought hp tuners and with my friend, ABADZL1, I started doing it. Ryan still does tunes for me. Now, I tend to drive the 4.5 hrs so we can dyno it ;o) 91 and torco — maybe ;o)

At some point I'll have to have it dyno tuned, it's inevitable.

Of course since I am not even anywhere close to Arkansas, I'll probably have to stick it on a local dyno and do a bunch of data logging, send him the data, and then have him make tweaks accordingly.

I'm sure I could find a tuner here, but I'd rather have someone who knows LS engines inside and out do it.

You’ll be in good hands.

If you call GPI, ask for James Zajac — he handles schedules ;o)

Tell them Don Hamm sent ya!

Good group of folks...

And I must say, damn impressive build! I suppose you could have bought a ZR1 Corvette for all the money you're into that thing, huh?

Yep but, what’s the fun in that? Building this pretty much from scratch has been a blast...

Yes, I hear you on that.

Mine will probably end up being very similar. I could have just bought a ZL1, but I figured I would have more fun building the SS.

Just a second (same) opinion - you just can't go wrong with the GPI Guys. They spent lot of time with me e-mailing back and forth to figure out the right combination for my budget, and have always been willing to answer questions after the sale - including when my local tuner called with a few questions.

I have driven some remote tuned vehicles by Ryan, and they are TOP notch - much better than a lot of local tuners with their hands right on the vehicles would have done. Not only do you get great service, but their products speak for themselves - their customer cars DOMINATE the SBE All Motor fast list for a reason - they are simply the best!
