Winter tires and wheels question

Hey guys, my 1LE is dropped on BMR 1.4" springs.

What size wheel and tire should I run for snows without getting into any rubbing or clearance issues?

Thanks!

I went with 18x7" wheels with a +35mm offset for my winters with 225/60/18 tires (same diameter as the factory tires); compared to the factory 8" wheels (RS and SS wheels) these wheels are 0.5" shorter on either side (0.5" further from suspension and further from fender) so there aren't/won't be clearance issues.

Naturally you can't drive the car as hard as you might in the summer but a narrower tire is better for wet/snow/ice traction. If you want a wider tire maybe try 8" wide with a +35mm offset and 245/45 tires (same as factory front RS/SS wheels).
