Read my spark plug?

So I was thinking about changing my plugs, but I was curious what everyone thinks about how this looks?

Looks like normal wear and mine after I changed mine at 75k miles. I would change them especially since it’s only like $60-70 for a set of ac delco iridiums.
How do the wires look? Maybe change them out too imo.

Is it something that I'm even going to notice?

The wires seem pretty good. No issues getting them off the plug, they're flexible and don't show any sign off degradation.

I'll order some, next time I get a chance I'll swap them. I've had a set of stainless brake lines that I'm waiting to install lol

If you notice a change a difference with plugs that means your old ones were bad. But to get the most out of your car I would change them every 50k miles or so or sooner depending how hard you are on the car. My wires at 75k were dry rotted and one even broke off the plug

You might notice it in your idle quality, but otherwise not much else. Those plugs look healthy, depending on mileage of course. They look to have self cleaned very well.

It's miles and time /years .If the car is 6 years old and has over 35000 miles , it's time for new plugs and wires if you want maximum performance out of you vehicle. Im sure they would last 100k,but if you want it to run its best at higher rpms change the plugs and wires. As the plugs and wires get older the resistance increases and the coils can not transfer full voltage to maximize combustion under full load and higher rpm's. Bottom line is a fresh tune up is worth the money.

I have made a habit of changing my plugs once a year regardless of miles. I know it is a likely waste of money and is probably unnecessary, but it makes me feel better.

I agree especially since they are so easy to change on these cars. It took me like 30min max to change them all. Plus once I changed mine with MSD wires my idle improved a lot.

I'm at 75k miles, and I daily drive this car. I always make it a point to run at least 93 octane, and I stick with Shell gas.

I'll probably stick with OEM wires, just due to the discussion I've seen around here regarding trouble with aftermarket wires.

Side note, I'm also planning on taking a look at my rocker bearings while I'm under the hood. What's the consensus on new valve cover gaskets? I can't seem to find much info about whether they're single use or not.

Your lucky , here in AZ we can only get 91 octane. And the weasel piss they sell here due to emissions is cut with ethanol in the winter and oxygenated in the summer .

Not *that* lucky. Almost all of our family is 10% ethanol. I think I found a single gas station that has pure 93, but it's so far out of my way it it's not practical to go there.

The valve cover gaskets are rubber and if they are in good shape, not dry rotted or cracked you can reuse them.

It’s hard to see exactly, but it looks like at least 2 of them have zero point left to them. Definitely time to change them and possibly look at why some plugs look near perfect and why others are worn all of the way down to nothing.
