That article states a Camaro SEDAN, a 4dr Camaro, say it aint so....................NO, NO, HELL NO.

Once again GM snatches defeat from the jaws of victory and crashes and burns. And you wonder why they are still in the hole for $25 billion to the US taxpayers.

Quit overreacting. You do realize your Camaro is built on a sedan platform? That sedan is what they're talking about.

Read the article, they do state production cars will have 4 doors. That is just wrong. Not even the Mustangs in their dark days of the late 70s had 4 doors. Might as well make a station wagon...........with faux wood paneled doors........ugh

From the article:

There will be some differences, of course. While the production version will have four doors, the Nascar-spec will have none (the driver climbs in the window). The body is actually a more coupelike shape, typical of Nascar racers of yesteryear — when only coupe-bodied models were eligible for racing. Coupes are no longer available, though, as most manufacturers have discontinued full-size two-door production models because of slow sales.

It's not a Camaro. It's a new sedan called the Chevrolet SS (stupid name, I know). It's a rebadged Holden VF Commodore, you knew the VE Commodore briefly as the Pontiac G8. The only thing it shares with Camaro is the Zeta platform and maybe the LS3.

This is not news. We've known this was coming for months now.

This!

They've been talking about this for over a year now.
NASCAR finally unveiled the car they will use in the race series yesterday.

The production SS will be available later next year.
Do some Google searches, and you'll find some spy photos of this car too.

Looks like a coupe version of the Caprice they are targeting for LEOs, also built on the Zeta platform.
