John, stock power level, for now, more in the near future.
Slicks for sure. Skinnies for sure.
Car is manual.
Keep in mind these wheels and tires will only go on for drag racing.
Luckily I am in a spot in life where I can afford the best, so that's what I'm looking for.
Also, I want to keep the brakes as they are. I plan on doing track days also.

John, have a set of ZO6 OEM in hand, with MT305/45R18s; did you need a hub centric ring? I've run aftermarket rims for a couple years (Concept One), which required rings; I put on the ZO6 rims and have a small gap.....not real sure about racing with that gap. How tight was your fit?

For those of you who bought the 28 X 6 X 17 Mickey Thompson SR radial, how long did it take to get them? Mine have been on back order for 3 weeks now.

These have MH 275/50/17. You could go wider.

Is it really necessary to go wider?

No but you can put a wider tire on it.

I have a set of 28x17 Hoosier slicks on 17x9.5 Corvette wheels and they are noticeably wider and look good:

I think a 305 M/T would be about perfect.

John,

Not to hijack this thread, but are you still running your Camaro WITHOUT the factory oil cooler & are your oil temps still staying cool enough for a daily driven car, as well as some drag racing? You helped me with info. a while back regarding an oil leak that I have where the factory cooler bolts up to the block.

I am still thinking about just removing the cooler & eliminating the oil leak.

Thanks In Advance for the info.
