Another great car.

They start building 2019's Jan.29th 2018 12 weeks from now.

C8 is coming to Detroit show Jan. 2019 as a 2020.

They're dealing on Corvettes - plant has been shut down since July to lower excess inventory and for plant upgrades.

Quote:
U.S. Corvette sales this year have trailed the previous three years and are on pace for the lowest sales volume since 2013.
Further hampering sales is the limited production volume this year due to the shutdown.
Only 9,700 2018 Corvettes are expected to be produced, a big drop from volumes that topped 30,000 in recent years.

Workers will be assembling 2018 Corvettes when the plant reopens and continue doing so through the week of Jan. 22, 2018.

They will then shift gears and start manufacturing the 2019 model of the iconic sports car Jan. 29.

You are not alone I have never been a Corvette guy so I prefer the Camaro over the Vette any day. Don't get me wrong the C7's are sweet but just not my cup of tea.

Same here, wasn't much of a fan of the vette. I am short and small frame, so I just didnt feel right in it.

OP - Good on you man! Enjoy the C7. As much as I love my SS, I've always wanted a Corvette (especially the rumored new ZR1). Hope you can get the C7 down some good twisties before winter sets in .

Great choice and I will get one in the future.

I was going to buy a Corvette at last change. Took it and a 2SS for a test drive and preferred the Camaro.

I ground out the Corvette on the way in and out of the dealership and decided at this time it wasnt for me!.

Short and small frame? Im 6'1 and sat in a vette, but it was a very sad day for me bcuz my knees hit the steering wheel even when adjusted. These cars are made for smaller guys. Congrats on the upgrade OP!

I plan on getting rid of my leased 17 SS next summer for a Vette if it all works out. I did a 3 year lease so at any point I can break even I will do so, and if that means keeping the SS until the lease is up so be it!

Congrats!

Why do you care at all. Jealous much? Sounds like you're just trying to justify the fact that you can't do this.

So many haters online these days it's sad.

Nice Vette, enjoy it! I'm doing the same thing but I have to wait until Spring. My order will not be shipped to the great white north during winter.

Do you already miss your Camaro's AC vents? I think thats the first thing I will miss.

Congrats OP! Thats a beautiful corvette. I did the same thing a month ago. Traded in my 17 SS 1LE for a base c7. While I love the driving dynamics of the Vette, I truly miss the 1LE. Call me crazy, but the 1lE was a lot more fun and I have a bit of regret. what can ya do!
