Question about ******** t harness install

I got it today. My good friend is giving me a 12 inch sub with enclosure and an amp to power it. My question is will all I Need is power cable to battery and ground cable. Good to go?

Depending on the amp you are using you might need a ground loop isolator. You also need a RCA cable to go from the harness to your sub amp.

what is a ground loop isolator and how would i know if i needed one?

You will know if you need a ground loop isolator (GLI) if your amp goes into protect mode after hooking up the RCA's. I had to use a GLI on mine. Fixed the problem and very easy to install.

The need for a GLI is caused by too much DC current in the factory lines. Some amps don't like it.

Installed my diamond 12 inch sub in a sealed enclosure. Powered by a profile 1000 watt amp! It is just ridiculous!! (In a good way, of course) Easy as pie install thanks to the ******** T harness. I'll post some pics later.
