Angry Underpowered 2015 V6 LT Camaro

I have recently purchased a second hand 2015 V6 (Auto) LT Camaro (with RS package), done 42,000 miles, it is still under warranty, but I feel that the car is underpowered for a 323 HP car, and that the acceleration/punch is not hard enough, so I measured the 0-60 time and found it to be almost 9 seconds!!, is that by any means normal?? My other observations are: a bit high average fuel consumption (16.80 MPG), a sudden change of engine tone after 3-4k RPM when stepping hard on the gas (is that by design?), and the passenger side hissing sound on hard acceleration.....any suggestions, please??

Take it to the shop and have looked over. It should perform better than that.

If you're still under warranty, just take it to the dealership.

With that 0-60 time you would be door handle to door handle with a Prius...

Passenger side hissing? Sounds like a major vacuum or exhaust leak.

Status Update:

The car pulls much better now after driving it like a maniac for a couple of months, so either the Italian tune-up is a thing, or maybe the transmission adapted to my style of driving better, and the downshifts became quicker.

for the passenger side sound...it is more of an "air mixed with sand sound" that happens when the RPM goes high...so maybe it is just some filter or duct that needs cleaning.

I think the HVAC filter is on that side under the cowl. It might be clogged up. The fact that you hear sand gurgling around under there tells me you probably have some sand caught in the filter.
