Finally! Bought a 69' Camaro!

Updated with pics from the past month or so. The car has went through quite a change. It has new Power brakes , new suspension , new transmission , rear end. Detroit speed electric headlight door openers. New steering wheel and led bulbs in all interior lighting. New 17 inch wheels and tires. New tail light lens. I may be forgetting some small stuff but that's it so far. Here are some new pics.

I have wanted a 1st gen camaro especially a 69' , ever since I was a kid(25+yrs). Well...i finally found my car. I drove 4 hrs from home to get it and boy was it worth it! Its a pre-X code 69. Built 12A , (1st week Dec. 68'). Factory RS #'s matching 327 w/ 2spd power glide. Factory PS /AC car. It isn't the factory color but thats fine...it was frost green on dark green interior.

My plan is for a pro touring type car without going to the extreme. I want an LS engine, power disc brakes on all 4 wheels and a few suspension upgrades...anyway enough rambling , here are a few pics!

Beautiful first gen!

It's a numbers matching 327, but has a 350 badge?

Yeah the guy I bought it from put the 327 back in it. He bought it from his best friend who had pulled the 327 and put in a built 350. He wanted the original engine back in it so he pulled the 350 out and sold it and refreshed the 327 and put it back in.

Nice stable, been looking for a 69 for almost three years - every time I find one, it's gone in a matter of hours.

Bought a wrecked 14 Camaro SS/L99 with a good driveline and interior. My plan is to put all the interior, electronics (including the dash), suspension, wheels and driveline into a 69. Not having a lot of luck with the 68 either.

That would be a bad ride when you do that. Good luck on your search!
