Absolutely... let us know where you got the clear bra done. I have been on the fence about doing this professionally for a long time. I have a few good paint chips on my front lip

..I just hear the cost can be rather high and that has been holding me up.

With any luck (doubtful with how these cars are being bayed) maybe I'll have mine by the 20th? Either way, I'll like to come along!

Edit* - Seems I cant read a calendar. Definitely wont have my car on Saturday  But next month...hehe

Ive been searching around for someone to do the clear bra. I found this place:
http://www.ultrashieldorlando.com/

I got quote of $500 + tax for the basic front bumper/cowling area before hood, and sideview mirrors. They sent me an email with their standard pre-cut designs and prices. If anyone wants, just let me know and I'll fwd it over.

They are remote, so they will come to you so long as you have a garage or covered area they can work.

I have no idea of their work.....just figured Id throw it out there.

Yes Sir, if you don't mind shooting me that email.... I may have to work some OT before I can throw it on. 500 is steep, but worth it, I believe.

She did my last car and did a very good job for a mobile service. If you use her make sure you inspect it real careful as they are doing the job outside of a sterile environment.

What type of maintenance and detailing is generally involved?

Normal wash and care. It doesnt need to be waxed or polished. I do bumpers hood (1/2 or full depending on the car) front pillars, mirrors, front roof line and trunk shelf. That package normally cost around 750.

Cool, so someone has used them before already. As far as inspection, due to how incredibly particular I am about my cars, Id actually be standing over the installers shoulder watching the entire process. It would be done to perfection else Id want my money back. The lady who I talked to made sure that I had a place to do it like a garage or some area that is not directly outside.

I think $500 is actually pretty fair, considering buying the kit is around $285 if you wanted to install it yourself, which Ive been told over and over is a bitch to do. Ive seen some people on here paying upwards of $800.

Yep I plan to do this I need to get my front bumper and hood re-painted might as well have the front 1/4's shot and then do the clear bra after that.

Another great meeting and meet we had over 30 members in attendance as well as 4 visitors (I f I recall 3 had 5th Gen's and 1 2nd Gen). Our David Maus golf polos arrived I will be taking those to get the club logo put on them I hope to have them in time for the next club meeting. We also had 9 members in attendance at the Downtown Winter Garden cruise-in.

Thank you to all who attended see everyone next Saturday at the club Picnic/BBQ.

We'll be there. Put the top down on the car for the first time yesterday and they did not install the damn tonneau cover bolts! Arrrggghhh. We'll still be driving topless to the picnic since we'll be taking all back roads, looks like a nice drive. But I now have to find time to take the car back to the dealership. May get David to do it, would be a hardship for him to have to drive it

May be getting the exhaust done tomorrow weather permitting. Would like the car to stay clean for more than 1 week!
