.
The article uses the 2012 models... Camaro SS retains 43.5% of value at 5 years (predicted, obviously), Mustang GT, 36.1%.

As for breaking..? I'd say they're pretty similar, though my Firebird wasn't really a Camaro. It was as good as the Mustangs; no better or worse. All were still crude cars, compared to other cars I've owned.
I agree, not really a good comparison, theres not a lot of demand for a '10 GT. And i would think a lot of them were traded in on 5.0s when they came out.

I picked a 2010 because thats the first year of the Camaro (year of mine also) not to judge a less liked Mustang. An yea I have owned atleast 10-12 Mustangs from base GT's to and 95 S351 and a highly modofied 1996 S-281 Saleen. I'm talking about breaking things like seats (cheaply made). I can't tell you the number of seat brackets that I've broken and even the seat backs were they connect to the base. One to many 2nd gear slams and your setting in the back seat. Consoles are another on seems as if the mounting clips are always breaking, not a dig back quality is lacking on the 11-12's also. Just feel cheap inside! As for 2012's, there is no NADA book values on them as of yet. IN the business you would pull like invoice.

Here are 2011's though:

Mustang GT MSRP $29,645 Clean NADA Trade $24,300 Loss of $5,345.00
Camaro SS MSRP $30,945 Clean NADA Trade $$28,600 Loss of $2,345.00

Sorry but once again resale is in favor of the Camaro....

Because people waste their time in threads all the time on Camaro5. 7/10 posts in a thread are retarded. I just wanted to see how the other side lived :P

I only ask because a fully loaded 2012 2SS is going for 32k at my local dealership. They're widely considered to be corrupt, so it'd be nice to have some ammo against the haters if a used 2010 is going for 38k elsewhere.
A new FULLY loaded 2012 SS is probably 42-44K maybe more for the convertible, all depends on what you mean by fully loaded.

There was a dealer here that had a nice green V6 with some door dents and ~30k miles. $28,000. And he actually sold it. So yea they really do hold their value.

Fully Loaded means Fully Loaded, every available option on it excluding transmission obviously.

Not in my mind. Fully loaded to excludes top (convertible), tranny, floor mats, graphics, ground effects, GM exhaust, tires/rims, paint (some are premium), and special editions like 45th and transformers ZL1. etc. Those alone make over 2^9 power = 512 different prices. It would include packages like 2SS + RS + sunroof. I would guess that there are over a million different ways to option this car. Which part was obvious?

I am still upside down for a while since I could not stand the toyota venza I got and had to go back to a V6 2LT RS which I practically paid the SS price for.
