Any car will build engine heat just sitting there idleing. Try it with any car that has a water temp gauge.

Alright called the tuner and let them know about driving the car then letting it idle
They said they will take a look at the tune...

wouldn't heat up mode cause all of the headers to heat up more evenly vs just the 2 rear? and can the rear O2 sensor/heaters create that much heat? (just asking because i don't know)

Vacuum leak could be the culprit. I had a truck do this same exact thing after installing an intake manifold. Found the leak with the use of soapy water in a spray bottle.
