High intake temps..

So I've upgraded from 60mm turbos to 76mm turbos. Car keeps having high intake temps even on low boost( 11psi) intake temps are around 125* at the end of the pass.
Car is on E85 and spraying twin #5 nozzle meth with 100% methanol. Now that's just gate. I see well over 170* on 16psi.
The intercooler just can handle the bigger turbos.

I'm thinking of ditching the intercooler completely and running a small dry shot (25 or 50) of nitrous before the IAT and throttle body to control temps.

Should I keep the intercooler or no? Dont seem like it does much anyway.

You are seeing high intake temps even with meth? On 24lbs without meth I was 220 iat end pull. When we added meth temps dropped the longer the pull went. I saw one pull go from iat 110 start to 72 end of pull on 24lbs.

We saw that the race intercooler had trouble keeping up once we went over 18lbs.

Maybe try using a water and meth mix , I've read that when water turns to steam the molecules expand over a 1000 times and dissipate the heat tremendously. The meth only there to increase the fuel and knock suppression, it's the water that takes the temps down

I see between 100 and 115 degrees of intake temps with intercooler only, I dtiched meth last year. this is on 20 pounds of boost with 68MM turbos. I would look elsewhere. those big turbos should be super efficient on low boost and not make that much heat. what are the specs of your intercooler?

Good lord....

I run 110-120 IAT's at the end of a pass, a MILE pass with intercooler only at 27 lbs of boost.... 76/75's. We have a home made (shop) intercooler that is 26 inches wide, 14 inches high, and 4 inches thick.... We back cut the steel bumper to increase airflow across the intercooler. We also baffled the inside of the intercooler to direct airflow to ensure even coverage of boost flow across the cooler face...

With the original turbos, 67/66's, and the "kit" provided intercooler, we ran 190's at the end of a 1/4 mile pass.... on spring pressure of 11 lbs...
