It would actually be 622hp. You divide by .82 not multiply by 1.18.

Just add 18% to 510, you come up with 602 (601.8 to be exact)

As others have stated numerous times, a dyno number is a great tuning tool, and is often used for bragging rights. Howevr, there is no set "percentage" that you can use to calculate BHP from RWHP. 15% might have worked for a car that made xxx HP using a yyyy driveline, and 20% might have worked for another, but it doesn't work across the board and should not be used as a measurement for what the car is making at the crank - within 1-2% of the SAE rating (kudos to GM for going to this standard) is probably your best bet.

How many times does it have to be said? The LSA is the ZL1 is SAE certified at 580HP. GM did not underrate it and all you're likely to see "broken in" is maybe 5-8HP more. All you are seeing with these varied dyno numbers is the known fact that no two dynos read the same.

To the OP, congrats on the purchase, I know you must be happy cruising around in that car!

True and doesn't the ZL-1 have a smaller overall diameter tire than the stock SS.

I liked seeing 120 mph and an 11:43 out of a stock ZL1 with rubber. That will get you kicked out of a lot of NHRA sanctioned tracks.

You are incorrect in your assesment. If the SAE is 580 and when Dyno'd at 510, you get a 70 hp drivetrain loss which = 12%. 580 x .12 = 70HP. You can't start with the rwhp and use one constant figure to multiply with (you should be dividing anyway) since each dyno number is subjected to change based on conditions. For example with the 510 rwhp -> .510/.88(1-.12)= 580 bhp

They put a dealer tag on mine and let me drive it down the road to a station and they filled it up with premium
