Give it the eff up people! 116-117 mph is in line with a 11.90 pass. Obviously the ones that argue this don't know shit about drag racing and probably have never driven their car down the strip. If you car traps 120-122 and runs an 11.90, you suck at driving. I had a third gen that would run 11.40's and trap 121-122 on radials.

The 12 sec passes that have been posted are at 116mph trap speed also. I'm convinced itll run 11.90 with someone who can drive. Period.

i dont see why youre getting so worked up over all this. 11.9's at only 116mph is doable, but the way this post was originally presented was all over the place. The video was talking about drag radials and the text wasnt, nothing wrong with people wanting things set straight. A ZL1 WILL eventually touch 11's stock in private hands im sure of that.

0-60 in 3.8 seconds
1/4 mile under 12 seconds

Granted he does say corrected times but lets keep in mind that this wasn't a prepped track and one could run better than a corrected time with -DA.

Most other track times you see before has the ZL1 running mid-low 12's. all of a sudden it's a 11sec. car on stock tires.
The ford test was from the same drivers... not a hodgepodge of drivers from east and west. Not a good comp you made.

NO...logic boy. That means they ran 12s all day but broke into the 11s once with 11.93...get it?

I'm getting worked up because so many people arguing about nonsensical bullshit. 12.0/11.90..... It's hardly any diffeerence. Any half witted gear head knows that 116mph is good for easy 11.90. Should do it with not much practice on stock tires. I have no doubt I could do it given a few practice passes. Main thing is cut the launch control crap off. That's for sissies and slows the car down. I will say that if all this car can muster is 116-117mph trap speeds with a super charger, gm better go back to the drawing board. That's pretty slow for 580hp in my opinion. Sorry I feel that way, but in my lowly bolt on cheapie SS, mine is damn near that fast....without boost. Lighter wheels and drag radials and I'm making a $60k car feel like a fool at the strip. Just saying.

Honestly, I think when the weather cools off, people learn how to drive these cars and the engine/drivetrain is broken in.... I think it'll go mid 11's at 120mph stock. Maybe have to put drag radials on, but it'll do it.

I'm starting to notice a pattern, and that is every week some say it can't, and every week it does... get faster that is.... times improve.... and excuses are made.... If you think that with the car being in the hands of owners for just 3 weeks you have seen the best it has to offfer... I think there is still more to see... I'm just saying... and Man, that 662 HP car, better beat it around the track, because it it can't I would really consider that a bigger fail than the ZL1 strip time.... that would be like the ZL1 loosing to the Boss around the track... I'm sure the other fans are praying it wins because if not... well you know what then... for the ZL1 it's a win win... when your the underdog, you have nothing to loose but everything to gain in an upset..... I'm just saying...

All the ZL-1 needs is a few people that can drive a manual car properly and you'll see tons off 11 second passes in showroom trim. If he can get a corrected time of under 12 seconds on a dusty piece of runway it shouldn't be to hard to do it on a racetrack

And as other have said, traction control needs to be OFF in order to get 11 second passes If someone wants to lend me there ZL-1 for a few passes at Mission Raceway in BC Canada I'll garundamntee you 11.80's in showroom trim with a manual tranny
