1BADZL1 Fail?

I hate that word failure.
My guardian angel won't have to fly to fast anytime soon it seems.
Just got a call from my atty. and my settlement check that I thought would be here by Jan 18th is being pushed forward another 4-12 months.
I am approved for financing, but will not be able to swing payments without the aid of the check for the deposit.
My last dealer has been so good to me. Should I tell him to cancel my order and give it to someone more deserving or should I wait for him to call me to tell me allocation is in? Should I let the build go forward and just see where I end up?
Should i let the car be built and delivered then have to walk away from my YM 12 Dream car?
I have called 3 times... No answer so I decided to make this post before I do something I regret later on. One side of me says wait before I make the call to cancel. The other side of me says tell him I want to wait for a YM 13.

Either way its all good, Im just gonna have to wait longer than anticipated.

Keep in mind I am a very influential person and I will listen to each comment or advice with a fine tooth comb.
What would you do?

That sucks man. Well this is a hard one because I know the feeling of wanting this thing that bad. That being said if you know for sure you won't be able to swing it there prob is no reason not to let someone else grab it. My .02

Go to bank and borrow the deposit if you can.....as long as your 100% sure your getting the cash! Possibly borrow it from family or a real good friend, who knows your good for it. Or just wait till the cash is in your hands!

I work for a lawyer, and let me tell you the LAST thing you want to do is go to any source for "settlement funding" like "Oasis Legal Finance" or anything like that-- peole who say they'll give you an advance on your settlement. We had a client who did that for $750. It took 5 years to settle his case and he didn't pay them back beforehand. He ended up owing $7500.

That being said, I really want to see you get your ZL-1, and if you can do it with a loan from a bank, I'd say go for it. But do you know how much your settlement will be for? Just make sure you can swing it, that's about all I can advise.

There seems to be people around here that would pay you for the advice you give.

Seriously, try to get someone you know give you an "advance" as long as you are sure you will get the settlement and if you can't you can always sell the car and give them back their money.

$24,000 to $34,000...
and theres always the chance of....well you know... a worse case scenario of waiting either longer or having it take another 2 or 3 years...

hahaha! No, I love helping people... I have always been that way..
But I can't help no one now as my head is spinning and I can't think atm..LOL!

I do not know of any friends that would take that risk... Would a bank or Credit Union?
Maybe sarah can help better answer that one.

What's up with the settlement check? Sounds like someone is trying to whiz on your leg. You have no further recourse on getting the money owed you before then? Ouch, that suxs Bro!

Think I would call dealer and fully explain the situation to them. Be up front! Surely they know you want the car so bad you can taste it, and they want to sell it just the same. Possibly when you tell them what is going on, they will be able to help you figure out how to get the car. Just saying . . .

This is what I am attempting to do.
Just thought id get everyones thoughts on the subject because I know its easy to make wrong decisions when your emotions are outta kilter....

YOU ARE A FOOL IF YOU DO THIS. READ MY FIRST POST. Their interest is usually between 4 and 7 percent MONTHLY.


DON'T even for a SECOND listen to anyone who says this. It's a fool's game there.


I would check with a credit union or a bank. Do you own a home or any other vehicles? Do you work? Feel free to PM me any details you don't want to share here.
