if these questions have already been answered sorry...

you can go from d-m and m-d as long as its like my 06 vette.

it will shift it for u in the m mode untill you play with the paddles then you are in control of it untill you put it in drive, thats how it is in the vette.

all of this is the same in my friends 05 mazda6 so i dont see why it would be any different in the 2010 camaro, its al lthe same stuff just different cars

2) last i heard no it will only stop you from dwnshifting into a lower gear when youre RPM's are too high (over revving)

it will prevent a downshift that would put it over the redline

and IIRC it will automatically down shift at a stop to keep you from starting off in any gear but 1st or 2nd.
