they have a great video of how to get that line on dipyourcar.com... I think they do it on the hood to show you how.

I tried putting vinyl on mine, but I kept getting wrinkles and bubbles. I finally got frustrated and wadded the vinyl up and threw it away. I taped it off with masking tape, scuffed it, and rattle canned it with Plasticoat semigloss lacquer. It came out great. Looks factory.

Had the same problem with the vinyl - it ended up in a wad after about an hour of frustration. I like the blackout look so I may go the paint route.

Any good painting tape will work the key is a light fast first coat, wait 30sec then another quick heavy coat, a 3rd coat is usually enough to get everything covered u must spray quickly and (important) peel tape right after the last coat, this must be done quickly and carefully I've ruined plastidip projects by the tape touching my work.
Heres a photo of mine for some ideas

Did you dip the outside of the lights or inside? And could we get a night-shot of them on?

I'm going to do this this weekend and want a good idea about how often I'll get stopped
