Depending on how many stages you are looking at.. It would be anywhere from low 1K range for a system that just had an outside scavenge with a steel pan, to mid 3k range for all the bells and whistles.

If you want to convert to the GM dry sump system (Internal pump, longer snout crank, etc.), you'd have to change the crank so that is out of the league vs. aftermarket.

What is your intention for the dry sump?

thanks for the info. are there any aftermarket kits for them? thats a wayy lower price than i thought it would be. im looking at getting another basic ss camaro and making it into like a track car plus i just like the dry sump style systems wayy better than wet sump. i saw on a corvette forum about the grand sport corvettes having a dry sump system and to convert them into a regular ls3 you would have to change the crank and connecting rods and thats a little more that i would want 2 do. if you have any info on kits and other stuff i should know about it then i greatly appreciate it.

You can slap a new crank pulley and run one on the ls3 with a new pan/pump.

Although the air condition is a big problem.. Hard to retain with dry sump

check out ARE also.

Im talking to the corvette guys.

500$ crank
400 Pan
Pump 200-300 or 700 for the insano one
crank pulley 200$
lines and tank 1000?
oil cooler 150-250$

Used you can get this fairly reasonable.

Figure labor would be around 400-500 with the engine out already. Balance fully and install crank, pump, pan etc...

Going stock lets you run the AC also.

These kits seem to be nuts high now, like 3000-4000$ just for the hardware uninstalled an no AC. Maybe 2500$ for the cheapest stuff.

I am about to pull the trigger on mine.

You need the full corvette accessory drive, different offsets. And labor will be a lot more than that once the custom install begins.

I can't vouch for it personally but have seen this on various track cars: An Accusump. It's not a dry sump... it's a piston that loads up with oil and if your pressure drops, feeds it into the engine. A few hundred bucks. Worth considering?
