MIL LED bulb - IP Cluster

I understand the MIL LED is soldered in the circuit board of the IP cluster. Has anyone ever had to replace the bulb due to it being defective?
I could just change out the IP cluster but the car would have to be programmed to reflect the correct mileage? I thought the mileage was stored in the PCM not the speedometer?
Looking for anyone who has had to replace the LED bulb or the IP cluster.
2010 SS LS3.
Thanks

the cluster would need to be programmed if you went that route, if the led is bad i would just take the cluster to a speedo shop and have them replace the led, pretty standard stuff for them and then you dont need a reflash of the cluster.

Mileage is stored in multiple areas not just PCM, but also BCM, etc. so that they are always a match. It's done so that people can't modify the ODO to reflect lower numbers.
