450 to the wheels

What’s up guys, so I have my 2012 L99 going under the knife on Feb 4th. I was wondering if you guys think I can hit 450 to the wheels. My set up will be:

DoD delete
VVT delete
Tsp stage 2 cam 229/244 .629 .615
CNC porting from TSP my stock heads and milling .015
Circle D converter 278mm 3000 stall
Kooks long tubes no cats
CAI brand intake
I have forgstar 19” wheels

What do you guys think?

why stage 2 over stage 3? You will be real close on a dyno jet

I would think it would be somewhere around there. I'm more curious as to what your timeslip will be though..

The company I go to does just a dyno jet dyno.My car won’t see the strip many times. So the stage 2 looked good to me. Looking at the dyno graph provided on the TSP website peak torque on the stage 3 is only 4 hp higher and TQ is the same.

After the install I am going to the strip for the first time.

I think so with a goot Tuner. Ported heads would help.

We milled them a little bit idk how much I’ll gain from that. But it should be close.

As much as I wanted to my shop felt better with a LS3 conversion.

You should be good for that. I did the TSP stage 3 cam,231/246 @112 LSA with a Precision 3200 stall converter and no head work and put down 470rwhp on a mustang dyno. A good tune will help a lot. Oh and the driveability is just fine with this big cam..

That’s a huge number for an auto. Congratulations. When I was looking at the cams TSP has the stage three only put out like 4 or 5 more than the stage 2. So if I can even hit 450 I’d be happy.

Thanks sir! Yea depending on the dyno and your tuner, you should be good to go. My tuner/builder is the best at what they do with the LS platforms. They do a lot with the Vettes and CTSV'S. They know their stuff. Also I'm prepping an LOD Speedworks X1 mid rise intake to install and hopefully get about 45-48 more at the wheels.

They sound like a good shop. Mine is pretty decent they have a few shop cars running single digits. It’s a month away but I’ll post idle clips and dyno numbers.
