Shammies?

We use a shammy to wash our cars, but it feels like rubber, and seems like it just scratches the car when im drying it. Are shammies bad for car drying? or should i use towels?

Are you using a synthetic "shammy" or a real leather chamois?

The safest way to dry a car is first pool rinsing, then using forced air, and lastly towel drying with a waffle weave microfiber towel and drying agent like detail spray.

I also use a shammy. I think after a few washes I start to see scratches. I don't think its so much the shammy as the dirt in the shammy rubbing onto the paint. I'm gonna to buy a micro fiber towel and see how it holds up with the paint.

Follow Dylans advice. I do two bucket washes and use the Adams waffle weave towels after a pooling rince. Never had a scratch issue on my black cars.
