2010/11MY Transition Period (prod interruption)?

Hi all; new to the forum and didn't see this addressed previously; sorry if it was.

Q: anyone know/have insight if prospective buyers might experience difficulty in getting the car they want ordered during the transition from 2010 to 2011 MY production? I.e., if I want to order a 2010 in spring of 2010, what is the magic date that production switches over for late 2010 availability of the 2011 models and new 2010 models can no longer be factory ordered? (haven't posed this question to my local dealer yet)

I guess a simpler version of this question is what is the latest date a 2010MY car can still be factory ordered?

Dealer responded...no anticipated issues (barring a constraint on a particular config) until they transition production in Jul/Aug to MY11 cars.

That sounds about right. Most brands will be transitioning to MY2011 around then. Expect some small constraints.
