It's my understanding that they are asymmetrical and can be ran in either direction. They actually state on the inside edge of the tire that this side be mounted inward.

Just a guess, but do you have them on the the oppisite side they should be on? That's what it looks like to me. Are the other side wrong as well? If so swap sides.....

This is the way to go IMO. Full chrome is too much, all black is too subdued. I think this would look great on my victory red!

Vreds can run in either direction. Sounds counter intuitive because one side is literally throwing water under the rear wheels, but its true. I've been running them on/off for 4 yrs.
