Key doesn't come out

I have 2014 SS. I've had the key not come out of the Ignition switch when in park. It's happened a few times, but is getting bad lately. I've seen lots of post about this, anyone find a fix for it?

Could be; 1) a bad neutral switch will cause the car to think it is still in gear and not release the key. 2) bad ignition which could get stuck and not release the key. Or 3) You could have turned the steering wheel a little in one direction after turning the car off which puts the ignition in a bind and not release the key.

theres threads on this forum that show how to unplug the wire inside the steering column.you can also put your foot on the brake and press the trigger on the gearshift and it will release the key.

I'll try these out, I forgot to mention that it is a automatic car. I saw that the shifter trigger may be wearing out possibly. Watched many videos on the subject.

My V6 G8 did that and I did some research and all it was is a little pin on the shift mechanism that had worked its way out.

I pushed it in a bit and all was good.
