Maybe I missed it but did anyone answer the original question?
"Any one know what I can do to get the 5 performance modes installed in my 2013 ZL1 vert?" |

No idea what it would take, but i'd bet that whatever programming/hardware changes needed would result in voiding of the appropriate warranty.
Is possibly losing your warranty worth getting the 5 PTM's? It's all up to you. |

I found in the convertible literature it talks about the PTM modes being on the coupe but (not available on the convertible). Its in there but not very deliberate.

There is something rotten in Denmark here - I am a brand new owner of a 2013 ZL1 Vert and just discovered that it does not have PTM eventhough my user manual tells me how to set it - I discovered this when I could not set it and asked the dealer for help - This makes no sense - the PTM actually makes the car LESS dangerous for the novice driver not MORE ! ! ! - I am pursuing GM for a fix so that we Convertible owners have this feature - which in my mind was clearly supposed to come with the car - if they will not provide it then perhaps this matter should be brought to the attention of the Consumer Protection Agency - has anyone gotten a clear answer from Chevy as to why this feature is not in the Vert ? ? ? ?

not only did Brandon ignore the customer's question about the PTM - Chevy in general has been ignoring the legitimate right/expectation of the ZL1 Convertible owners to have the PTM system as part of their car just like the coupe

As the owner of a 2013 ZL1 Vert, I must say I do feel sort of cheated for not getting the PTM modes. While this is my wife's car and she would never use those modes, I use them on my coupe all the time. It's part of what makes it a ZL1!
I wish Chevrolet would rethink that decision and update our computers. If the new C7 corvette convertible can get the same modes as the corvette coupe? The same logic should apply to us. Still love our cars but do feel sort of cheated on the vert. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There is no question that the vert owners are being cheated and at this point I have not been successful trying to find out from Chevy as to why. At first I was told it was for safety. However, I pointed out that as I understand it the 5 levels of control actually make the car MORE manageable - not LESS (I can't be sure because I have not actually used one yet) - currently with the Competitive Driving Mode - I seem to have all out or something else which has still not been defined either. Perhaps a seperate thread should be set up just to address this issue and if enough owners start to complain loud enough, we will get the total product which we expected and should have. Chevy may actually have a legal issue here. My owners manual says that I have it and even a rep at Chevy customer support said the car has it and the service manager at the dealership would show me how to use it ! ! !

I was told it would have 4 of the 5 modes. I want it to be a real ZL!... I love my car but feel cheated.
