Anyone check out the new MT ET Street R?

https://www.mickeythompsontires.com/...item=ETStreetR

Looks to be better than the ET street radial and almost as good as the ET street Pro. What looks promising for the 5th gen is two particular sizes. The 305/45R17 and 305/45R18 sound perfect for current 5th gen wheels like the new Race Star 17x9.5" and all the 18x9.5" choices. DOT legal radial construction as well so it can be driven to the track and back without worry.

I wonder if they will stick better than the ET street II? They look almost like a slick, hard to believe it's street legal. Have fun driving in the rain with those lol.

Me personally I would only use them to drive to the track and back and maybe some late night grudge matches. Even then I would use caution as it seems the sidewall and compound are similar to the ET Street Pro. I'm sure someone will try to DD them but they should do so at their own peril. I'm pretty sure these will work better than the ET Street ll as far as straght line traction. The old ET Street tires are getting discontinued. I think they are making a new more daily driver friendly drag radial as well like the NT555R that will replace the old ET Street radial thats called the ET Street S/S.

I was looking at these the other day
Will the 325/50/15's fit under these things ok. I was thinking about these because they are wider than the pro x 275's

If you notice the sizes you will see that its not made in the 275/60R15 size. Its because there is no reason. That size is reserved for the Pro tire. No need to try these in a different size if your Pro tires work well. My thinking is that these are so close to Pro performance and characteristics that there was no need to make it in the 275/60R15 size.

Also, something to note is that any sizes that don't follow the European metric sizing with a R in it are bias ply and NOT radials.

I spoke to mockey thompson this past weekend at the NMCA true street event. They said this tire is supposed to be better and hook better as it is made with the SAM concept of the pro in mind with a dot street lag radial. Basically took the pro and made it street legal. I'm due for a set of radials on my z06 18's so I'll be getting 305/45/18 here soon. Keep u posted

Looks like the current estimates ship date is 5/18/16.

Anyone running the Pro tires now have any feedback on them? Tire pressure suggestions, etc?

Look great. Just wish they were 28" tall. They are only 27.7 I believe.

For now I will be sticking with the MH325 since it measures at 28" tall
