The ZL1 was offered in the 60's, but the 1LE was not offered until 89'. Only 111 of them were sold in 89'.

1988. 4 1LE's were released for the 1988 model year, making it the rarest year. And, 1989 did have 111 units.

Today, “is it a V8?” is a valid question. I still can’t believe they made a 4 cylinder 1LE.
