Turbos lol . Even then 1gen ecoboost 3.5 could pick up 100 hp with just a tune. But I love the sound of a good V8

I liked my 2011 Ecoboost for the power ,but that blender sound in a truck just seemed to weird. It had to go. Sounds like your's runs pretty good. Wonder how long it can take that abuse.
I dunno. I haven’t looked at it that way really. With my everyday driving my turbo’s engage less than when the truck was stock and I’m nowhere near the so called boost limit. I would say that the PRX tune from MPT is aggressive but a moderate aggressive is that makes sense. The ecoboost 2 makes more power and torque over the previous version but I’d say the biggest upgrade is the A10.

The 6.2 Chevy had good power but it did not ride as well as the F150, it was not as smooth feeling to me. I settled on the 3.5 ecoboost because it felt the best on the road, it felt light and it’s acceleration even stock was really good. It also helped that Ford was nocking 10k off MSRP as soon as you walked on the lot which brought down the price tag to 46k. The Chevy was going to run 52k. I am really happy with my decision due to my experience with the performance capabilities with this truck. I’ve spent a little less than 2k and have reached some pretty good and safe power numbers. I do hate one thing on the new Fords though. The interior has too much cheap plastics that rattle and squeak. My truck has less than 9k miles on it and I’ve already wedged some black foam in two places to stop squeaks or rattles. In reality they all make pretty good products. I think I would have been happy if I would have purchased either one.
wow, trucks are certainly big money.i only paid 23k for my camaro...

If you ever come down to Abilene/Brownwod, we can roll.

NOT to say that it would have made a difference in your circumstance. If there are any local guys on here hit me up. I would like to play around with something other than a truck.

Those eco-turds I mean boost trucks aren’t bad for a truck, but they’re no Camaro or at minimum a diesel. I have the original eco-boost and have driven the second gen ones too and they’re still a turd. The second gen F150 eco boost is better than the original, but it’s still slow. I’m sorry, but IMO Ford can keep their two turbos, I want my extra two cylinders back.

Have you driven a tuned one?

This is unrelated to PYROGUY but I got to lineup against a TB SS that had some bolt-ons and was cammed this weekend. I had raced a few of those in my Mustang days and they could run, especially from a dig. We ran twice, once from a roll and once from a dig and neither one of them were close. The roll was from a 20 and I left it pretty quick. The second was from a dig and I left it even quicker. Ive seen those TB's run 12.8-13.0 at the track so I know they have more than was was soon this night. There is a guy that has a new Jeep SRT8 that wants to give it a go soon. This one might be pretty good.

I finally got a chance to get up to the track here in Oklahoma. Since my last post I havent added any performance mods but I did get a tune update from MPT for 93 octane. I arrived late to the track so I only got the one run but I pulled a 12.75 @ 109. I launched in 4A at 2750rpm and that only got me a 1.9 60ft. I cannot launch any harder than that because my brakes cannot hold the truck after 2750. I will try and post the time slip off of my phone.
