Pete, was front/rear brake bias good after the CTS-V swap?

using the cts-v brakes for the street are the way to go overkill but the way to go, for performance they are killer, for price they are killer, these can be found in the salvage yards already if you know where to look even at the gm dealer they are worth it. unless you are road racing i think the ssbc or the expensive brembos are a waste but that is just imo

gm used them on a couple of there sema show cars, it is possible with the correct rotor and the right bracket to affix the caliper to the spindle

There are a clouple of conversions on a range of Camaro generations. The trick is getting the bias anmd abs working. A ProTouring competitor and GM emplyee Mark Stielow has made in work. The biggest obstacle is the cost of the part$$$$$$$$$$$

I've considered upgrading to the CTS-V calipers - here's the part #s I got from gmpartsdirect.com when giving them the VIN# from a CTS-V (please do your own verification of ALL the parts you'd need):

25912477 left front brake caliper (includes call out numbers 4-7, 12,13)
25912967 right front brake caliper (includes call out numbers 4-7, 12,13)
25940448 front disc brake pad pin kit (includes call out numbers 3,8,9)
25940447 front disc brake pad kit (includes call out 10)
25851237 front brake rotor (order one per location)
92245929 rear brake rotor
89047744 rear disc brake pad kit

GM High-Tech Performance had a technical article in their November 2010 issue - here's the link - http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...els/index.html Note their part #s missed a digit on part # 25912967 so I was tracking that down - they had 2591296...

I'm still weighing whether to go this way or not...

Hey Mindz,
Did you choose which brake package to go with? I have been very happy with the CTS-V set up. Just need to change the pads. The ones I have now are dusting up a storm! I don't think they are the OEM Cadillac pads.

The OE CTS-V pads are good for light duty track work. If you plan to run harder most at a HPDE you'll want a dedicated track pad.

That means they are working.

Typically, the low dust pads don't stop as well.
