Need opinions

Alright, so here's a little back story.
Got rear ended back in March, totaled my SS (I was the meat in a toyota SUV sandwich)

I loved the car, so I'm looking to replace it with a 5th Gen, and find a Z28 project down the road.

Anyways I need opinions from various owners on their 5th Gen (technically 1st since its on the "new" Zeta Platform)

But my choices are between the
1LS
and the 2LT
I would get the 2SS but insurance for the year for me is almost 6 grand for full coverage on the V8 vs a little over 2k for the 6.

Because of my accident I would get the Auto, (some damages done to me where it makes it hard for me to shift now)

But if I went with the 1LS I was wondering if it would be cheaper to add all the "dealer add-ons" myself.
As in Upgrade the rims on finding a used set off ebay, doing the ZL1 Front Fascia, RS headlights, adding the HUD display and switch, camera rear view, 4 gauge auxiliary and a few other nits and picks..

Or go with the 2LT and just add the ZL1 Front, do some interior and exterior upgrades etc.

From what I can tell the two models are basically the same, with a few differences in between on options that are available for the car.
I'd either see if the dealer has a '11 that they need to get rid of or should I go straight for the '13 and have a fresh start on all the warranties. (I'd be paying cash otd)

I know this has probably been asked a thousand times over, and I hate to be the FNG that will bring up the same topic again. I like some of the options available for the 2LT so just need opinions on what you would do. Basically trying to save a few bucks where I can (don't want to blow through the settlement too fast now ..)

That's not how they mark them anymore. 2LS is auto 1LS is manual. I believe originally it was just LS and auto was an option.
