Injen Splash Guard

For anyone thinking about the Injen CAI, but concerned about water on the filter, even with the hydro shield, here is my solution. I used a couple of old style mud flaps to create a simple splash guard, and used the air dam screws to secure it in place.

Well... I would have probably gone with the CAI Inc one if they ever actually started shipping a V6 version!!! Can't wait forever... Very happy with the Injen instead...

Bump
For those with concerns about the Injen Long Tube, this splash guard has worked fine for me.

Yup it rained yesterday. I believe my Injen long tube sucked a bit of water after going through a puddle and I got a CEL for about 5 min. The CEL went away so no worries. I love this intake and fortunately it never rains (so to speak) in San Diego, so I'm cool. I'm looking for a Hydroshield to throw on during the winter months as a precaution.

never had a issue with mine but that is a clever idea for sure! i am thinking about getting the sawzaw out and shorting the tube 2-3 inches when i lower the car.
