*Pics* 17" Weld RT-S Black/Polished on CGM SS

Just wanted to throw a few pictures up of the black/polished Weld RT-S rims. We get a lot of people asking what they look like on the 5th gen so here they are!

Remember you can PM me for pricing on all Weld Racing rims.

(Yes the car looks high in the front because the motor is out)

Same exact set-up I put on my car!! Looks Great!! I'm just waiting to get my new BMR Lower Control Arms installed so I can finally get her out of the garage and I'll get some more pictures posted up too! Are you guys running the OEM lower control arms? Your rear suspension looks to be sitting higher than mine!

The Weld RT-S wheels (in-general) can be used for daily driving. However, as for the tires shown in the pictures above....not a good idea....at all. See here:

WooHoo....

I'm a member of the Weld Family...

I am ordering the Weld Wheels, RT-S 17 X 10 with the Black face for the rears, and 17 X 5 with the Black face for the fronts...

I am also getting the Gorilla Lugs in a polished finish...

I would like to personally thank Matt at ECS for assisting me in this purchase...

Blazzin, did you say the TPMS items were from Dill....

I'm not sure I even want to run any... these wheels and tires are only for use on the racetrack....

M&H skinnies, and Hoosier 28 x 10 x 17 Slicks for the back...

Blazzin, Your car was the first place I saw them and I really like the look, and then saw them on Matt's car and then it was just finding a vendor....

I emailed or contacted several over an almost two week period, and Matt at ECS was the first and only one to respond.

Thanks Matt...

Looking forward to getting these...

With as high as that front is sitting, it looks like it doesn't have an engine in it.
It's funny how some of us think that having smaller diameter rims are much more awesome than having bigger ones. Love seeing sidewall!

Edit: I just read the first post again and see that the motor IS out...

Congratulations!!! Yes, the sensors and valve stems I used were from Dill Air Control Products. But if your tires/wheels are strictly for the track, I wouldn't waste my money on TPMS stuff. Let us know how your LCA clearance is after you get your wheels mounted up.

Small diameter rims = more sidewall = more functionality. This I do like! Plus I like the 'old school' look of it not being so much a tuner car anymore with the 20's personally.

Yep, motor is out of the car... It's now over at Farks Super Cars getting the 10point rollcage, chute, battery disconnect fabricated.

SSE: It was a pleasure doing business with you too. As I always say, customer service is a two-way street. Good customer + Good shop = GREAT experience for both parties!

Hey blazzin: I'm running the stock lower LCA's for now until a 15" combo is available. We will be notching the control arms for fitment, Farid is taking care of that for us too while it's over in chassis. I'll get some pics when the car is back here.

Thanks Matt, I'm looking forward to seeing your pics. I will also post some clearance pics once I get my BMR LCA's installed, just for comparison.

Later,
Keith

Thanks for all the help...

I orderd the BMR adjustable LCA's this am... I'll also post up pics of them with the new wheels when they are installed... I'm curious how much different the adjustables will look with the stock wheels...

I noticed the stock SS brakes. Do the wheels clear them or did you have to do some modifications?
