Chevy Cruze

Well my wife finally wants to get rid of the 08 Dodge Grand Caravan. We really dont need a mini van anymore.

Time to downsize.

She is trading it in for a 2012 Cruze Eco model. Only has 17000 km, thats like what 8500miles?

near new condition .. anyone have a Cruze and want to chime in with the good/bad?

I love my 2012 1LT/RS. I have 14000 miles on it, trouble free. I average 33 mpg around town in hilly western Pa.

I don't have a Cruze, however I have the Sonic with the 1.4L Turbo, which is the same engine as in the Cruze. I've had it for a little over a year and just hit 15,000 miles. It's a little lighter and maybe handles a little better than the Cruze.

Regardless, they are very similar to be honest. I like my Sonic for what it is...a reliable high gas mileage car. I have 15000 miles on it, and have only taken it in to the shop once to fix a problem with the heated seat.

I thought about getting the Cruze when I got my Sonic, and test drove both. I liked the handling better on the Sonic and wasn't concerned about the size...the Sonic actually is pretty decent if you have 4 people as well.

Me and the wife have about 31000 on our 2011 absolutely no problems with it. I think the best we have done on a trip was 38-39 mpg (non eco). I think she averages around 31 mpg with about 70% city driving.

Had one as a loaner. Awesome car. So much so that I'm thinking about getting one for my mother to replace her 1991 Civic.

The van was just too big. We wanted 4 doors. She drove almost every domestic car with 4 doors in the 14k to 28k range. I was pretty proud of her. Last time she bought the first car she put her ass in that was in a color she liked. This Time she did her homework. She could have opt'd for a Cruze lt 1.4 turbo with a sun roof for the same price but had 38k on it, but took the Eco.

A friend of mine had an '11, and had nothing but problems with it. The waterpump died and cracked the head, CPU died, had issue with the brakes. Granted it was all covered by warranty, but it still sucks to buy something brand new have it spend most of its days at a Chevy dealer. I really like them and still considering getting one. Im 6'3", and when I sat in her car, I actually had to move the seat up slightly. Ive never had to do that before, and Ive owned crew cab trucks and SUVs!!

cruze

Just traded in my winter beater aka 2008 G5 for a brand new 2013 1LT RS CRUZE picked it up in December and have racked up over 6000 miles no issues had to take it in to the dealer three times to fix squeaking suspension issues which just turned out be four loose bolts underneath
I had my sales manager do a dealer trade because I wanted the blue topaz color
