Does your V6 idle smoothly?

I'm still getting use to my 2016 V6 Camaro. I just hit 500 miles on the car. I noticed it doesn't exactly have the smoothest idle. I can definitely feel it coming through the car while in park or waiting at a red light.

Is this a normal Characteristic for this engine?

Tachometer needle reads fine (doesn't jump around or anything abnormal) and otherwise drives fine.

My daily driver for about the last 15 years was my LS1 Camaro, which in my opinion has idled smoothly even to this day.

Mine does the same thing also...

you might not be used to direct injection I think.

It's a combination of things. First, the V6 has a pretty low idle once warmed up. You'll notice it idles around 1200 when you first start it and then it'll idle down to around 700. That's pretty low and helps introduce some rough character. Second, the DI doesn't help either. Third, if you have the AC on max it's very noticeable.

But, it seems like it's completely normal and it's crazy because of how smooth the engine is in every other way.

if you came from a 4th gen with an ls how did you not feel it? i have a 3rd gen and it rumbled. this car is so much smoother that. any car with 300+ hp is going to feel like this.. nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the replies, glad I'm not the only one who notices it. Still getting use to the car and this engine.

Haha. I always felt that the ls1's had a smooth idle, provided they were well taken care and fairly stock.

Mines decently smooth. Every now and then you get a blip, but that's nothing.

700 is kinda normal these days. My 07 charger was set at 650 I believe and that was a decade ago...Non direct injection though.
