Started engine without oil. Thoughts?
Was changing oil and started the engine for around 10 seconds with no oil. Engine was fully warmed up before hand. Would there be any engine damage?

I've seen that happen without incident. Time will tell though after its running with oil.

Why would you risk a $6k part. Oil is essential to an engine

It's probably fine, the oil galleys all had oil in them. The engine wasn't dry. Put oil in it. Next time you change your oil, inspect it for silver flakes and cut open the oil filter to inspect. Keep an eye on your oil pressure.

There are times in life that we all forget something, this could be an expensive oversight. Nearing seventy years of age I still enjoy doing my own preventive maintenance such as rotating tires and oil changes.
I always leave the hood in the up position, and have 2 cardboard signs, one for laying on top of the engine and the other resting on the steering column. Both say... "Don't start NO OIL! Not just for me but also what if the son came in and decided he wanted to hear dad's car? With our obscured oil pressure gauge on the Gen5 wouldn't take long before the son would hear dad's car go boom!

After watching all of those cash for clunkers youtube videos, I was surprised at how long it takes to seize an engine with no oil. I'm sure you did a little bit of damage, but it's hard to say how much.
I'd probably do like others have said. Fill it with oil and hope for the best. Then I would dissect the oil filter at the next change interval to see how much "glitter" is in there. Good luck.
