If you can, pay the car off early, put 230 into storage and then pick up a Z/28....

Unrealistic for some, but I think it's doable...

Keep #230. You may want to see what the 6th gen looks like on the new platform. Smaller, lighter, more power. Just another option to think about.

I say keep #230 and mod it. You can make it faster than a stock Z-28 I'm sure. Plus you can do the mods at your own pace, and when you're done, you'll have a faster car, plus it will be paid for much quicker, and ....... dude........it's #230.

Hmm #230 vs. getting a Z-28. Sounds like a win-win situation whichever you choose. I don't have an answer It all comes down to dollars and "sense".
I'm sure you'll be happy either way!

After everything that was done to get that car I'm surprised to hear you say that you would be concidering getting rid of it. I'm with the mod it crowd here:

You have a super low vin number.
It has sentimental value
It would be cheaper to mod #230 even with a supercharger

I agree with both posts. I wouldn't even think about getting rid of it. Just mod the hell out of it and enjoy.

IMO - If by chance you could get a low <50, maybe <100 VIN on the Z28 I'd consider it - otherwise keep #230 for mostly sentimental value (unsure at what VIN# does a future collector would yawn at versus get excited).

It's "going to have" a price tag of 8-10k more than an SS (my guess)- start there.

Yeah it is hard to decide, since she had a dented door, hit and run, dealer dented rocker panel and nic in dash I get upset about all that. But once again things that can be and have been fixed except for nic in dash and small star from rock in windshield (guess it was fixed from splitting more).

Makes me ponder what to do. At times I think she is a jinxed car. But it is probably just the Sherman luck as my dad says. Well I have at least a year to ponder. Just wanted to gets folks thoughts. Either way I go the Camaro will get passed down to Zac in about 15 years. He also has the bug and wants us to make the car smoke the tires anytime we want.

I want to thank everyone that has givin input and who will after this post also.

Also, remember this; It's one of the original 'Slow L99s" and is the car that they came down and fixed. AND had you not pushed my hand because yuou saw the difference in the 'Slows' and the normal, we may very well have never discovered the fuse pull.
