I had my car tuned by local tuner James Karger at Calibrated by Karger.

I have all bolt ons except still have stock intake manifold. It made 503 to the wheel through my 4L80E on e85 on a day the DA was negative. I don't think I will get the same number on a day with bad DA. Heads were ported by Katech.

You have a six speed right? If so, it won't rob your horsepower through as much parasitic loss as I have with my 4L80. So its kinda not a good comparison my car to yours. I realize i am more than cam only, but also losing horses through my auto more so than a stick car.

Yep I got a 1le. What did you do for the heads stock or aftermarket? I’ll find out next week for sure how much power she’ll make

I sent my heads to Katech for them to CNC port them. So I have stock ported heads.

$500 + shipping there and back. Had to remove all the hardware and clean them before shipping or it’s more.

I wanted to get GPI ported heads but I was out of money. I really didn’t have the money to port the heads but since heads were coming off to install some Johnson lifters, I didn’t want to pay the labor without modding the heads.

I’m going to talk with GPI and see what im going to have to spend, next week during the tune, then start saving for this winters mods heads, lifters, and a mgw shifter

When are you going to the track? I just weighed in at 3,695 and have everything set for tomorrow in Bowling Green!

Heh, yeah it all started as me trying to answer him as to why to go big on the cam, then it turned into a giant thread, and he being glad he got the SS4.

Hey IWANTA(SS) that sucks about the 1/4 mile not being available. I feel like the SS4 really just gets started around 60mph.. still though, be sure to post a video when you get the chance to make a pass!
