Is sitting on the straps for your 5th and 6th point straps acceptable the way Cornerspeed did it? My past track car (with race seats) had a slot in the seat. That is not necessary?

So, was reading about the Schroth Rallye 4 point setup. Price is good...but from what I am seeing, its mounting points dont meet Motorsports standards, which allow no more than a 10* down angle, the belt mount below the shoulder height, with 5* being optimal.

So why is this one recommended so much?

Skimmed through whole thread and can't find any info on a seat belt simulator/dummy connector to snap in while I'm tracking

Go to a Chevy dealer and ask for seatbelt extenders. I leave the extender in all the time.

Braun w Harness Bar

I’m taller and needed track day seats for helmet clearance.

I found a set cheap locally that were what I wanted.

I also installed a harness bar n 5 point belts.

Seats or OK. Real tight in kidney area. Not ideal but work.

With the start of the driving season working towards making the car safe for the track it's a concern. For many years I had a track ready and modified Pontiac Solstice GXp. I've been lucky to have a great race shop near me, Jannetty Racing. They are so helpful in getting the car prepped.
