The black one is almost the same idea as the above article, the blue one a little to CAMARO for my tastes.

Actually front end is from 1970 thru 73..rear end is like 76 to 81.

There is a rendering from Kevin Morgan that is way better imo.

He took the same eras but made them mesh way better...and ...if kevin morgan's renderings were the base for a new trans am...it WOULD beat the camaro in sales...gotta check it out...he even did the car in different iconic editions...such as the SE of 76-78 and the white and blue. Me personally would jump on the trans am in a heart beat instead of my 2SS. I love pontiac and have a soft spot in my heart for them...i mean i own a 77 Trans Am and my dealer asked me if i wanted to trade in the car when my SS arrived...I looked at him and chuckled...then broke the tires lose in the lot. PMD has some great insights and is usually very well grounded, but I think this time he has gone a bit too much into wishful thinking. GM has become very much the large, almost soulless corporation, extremely risk adverse, almost as humorless as Toyota, and government intervention will only make that worse. I think the Camaro is the last really wild, rebellious, passionate machine we'll see out of GM for at least a very long time. I don't foresee anything earthshaking, innovative, or creative, just appliances like everyone else. I mean GM just said people would buy Pontiac for the fuel efficiency, so they're keeping the G3 and G5.
