Its not as easy as some guys make it look. The manuals are a tricky launch.

I have a friend with a 2011 FBO Mustang 6 speed. He can cut a 1.9 sixty foot on street tires. You just need more seat time. At least your running your car.

I shaved off .5 seconds from my first run to my 4th pass. It only gets better for you.

I kno it got a lot better as the night went on. I’m ordering a line lock as we speak to help with launches.

Was that at Byram? We sure need a better track up here. I plan on going to No Problem, State Capital or Gulf Port once the weather gets a little cooler. I wish Lena would get their sh*t together. Keep practicing. Practice will pay bigger rewards than the line lock. Driver mod! LOL

No it was at the Starkville Speedway right outside of West Point were I’m originally from. Never been to the tracks around here plan on going sometime. I kno practice practice practice but I don’t like using the E-brake as a roll stop I left it halfway up during one of my runs, that beeping scared the living shit out of me lol that’s why I ordered the line lock.

The line lock will definitely help save your rear brakes, when you're doing your burnouts. Thats the only time I use my line lock, and its effective.

Why don’t you use it to launch off the line?

Because you should be siting still, not holding the car back if you're a stick. A line locks purpose is to hold front brakes only so it's easier to do a burnout. A trans brake is what auto cars use to stall up the converter by engaging 1st and reverse simultaneously. I guess you could use the line lock to help take some of the slack out of the drive train before you hit it, but unless you're running a sticky tire, it's pointless imo.

so your saying stage up and sit there no brake or ebrake to stop you from rolling forward over the line and using the line lock to hold the car at the line and preload the suspension to cause less shock to the breakables on a hard launch is pointless?

I need all the brakes I can get to keep me from lurching forward and red lighting. Mine brake stalls up to 3500ish rpm and thats me standing on the brakes. The run where I hit a 1.5 60', it was at its very limit of how much throttle I could give it without breaking the wheels loose.
