The info comes from a GM Tranny Tech named Rick that was helping us out on a 2nd Gear Grind thread.

Take a look at posts 195, 264, 337, 353. All new transmissions will have the upgraded parts.

I'm taking it up there later this week to get a trade-in quote from them. I only mention the KBB value because the salesman said that's what they use. Crazy, I know...

That's awesome! And also one reason why I'm going for the trade-in now instead of waiting to see what comes out in 2013. Even if I never drove it (and I do since it's my DD), it would depreciate several thousands of dollars. With the discounts I received, my 2011 is at the perfect place to trade in without losing much. Of course, my payments will extend for 6 months or so, but they should stay pretty close to the same. So, in theory, there should be zero additional financial burden.

Let's hope Murphy's Law won't apply here.....

Are you sure KBB is Kelly Blue Book? Could be KBB = Kelly Black Book which dealers use when they are taking in a trade.

Most of the stuff on the 45th I like but some I don't. Either steering wheel is fine by me. I think the regular rims are better, and the special white 45th interior doesn't look as nice as the gray does, IMO.

But the stripes are cool and the carbon flash metallic is awesome. You can't order it with the ground effects package though, hopefully they change that.

If it's what you want, I say go for it. You spend that much $$ on a car it should be exactly what you want.

I guess it all depends on what you think your payments being about the same means. In my experience when talking to salesmen, they think that if I have a loan for 48 months with a $409 payment then a 60 month loan with payments of 499 is "about the same." Hey they both start with 4 right? Both around $400, yeah right, not to mention the extra year.

I hope this is not the case and you truely can get it for about the same price but seem difficult to believe you could get a new 2SS/RS w/ sunroof and whatever else you have for a similar payment unless you throw in more cash down.

If it's what you want and they really give you that much for trade-in on your 2011 - get it while you can. Good Luck...

I saw an ad yesterday for the local chevy dealer, he was advertizing New 2011 LS Camaros for 23995, I looked down and he had a 2010 USED LS listed for 21995. so I guess they are holding their value pretty well...

Jeez, it's just a steering wheel. Everyone get over it already. It's not as if they gave it the Cruze engine ...

Especially if you get an SS, you won't notice the steering wheel after you press the gas pedal.

It's definitely Kelly Blue Book. I've also known some to use Black Book and NADA. It's just their preference, I guess. My mom has owned a Used Car Dealership for several years and she's always used NADA.

Just checked online on Black Book and they don't have any info on vehicles newer than 2010 and less than 5k miles.

My contact said he uses auction values to figure out what to give on trade in which is probably a little lower than KBB.

I say go for it... same thing I did when the Pace Car came out...
