What to do with new car paint for winter

Just bought a new 2013 inferno orange 2 ss camaro just wondering what I should do with the paint the dealer washed it twice before I took it home. Just some light minor scratches. I want to park it for winter not sure if I should just wash it, then buy a cover from gm or wash it, then clay it, then wax it then get cover from gm. What do you guys think

I'd skip the clay until spring if you're going to garage it. Definitely wax or seal it to protect it. The cover will add some fine scratches no matter what you do, but those can easily be fixed in the spring.

not to get off topic but what if you wash it and still put the cover on?

Still going to add scratches. In theory, if you had EVERY grain of dirt off of the car AND the cover, and stored it in a completely dust free environment, then yes, you'd be safe. That's not going to happen. You can definitely minimize damage if you clean everything really well and store it inside out of the wind and elements, but the potential is still there. Like I said, easy to remove though, so don't sweat it. It's not going to be big nasty swirls, just some minor RIDs and marring.

I personally would. Don't see much need. If you decide on a cover, make sure it's breathable, you don't want moisture getting trapped underneath.
