Does this work on L99 auto? I know the website and your listing specifically state stick, but just curious. I'll search, but just in case I don't find it or forget to come back...

From what I have heard and researched, yes, the Mach-X system will physically fit on the L99. However, because the "drone" problem is supposedly more prevalent and harder to control on the L99, it will probably have a fairly significant drone at highway speeds with this system. That is why the J-Pipes are now standard on the Mach-XL system (for the L99). I know before the J-Pipes came along, the Mach-XL utilized a longer muffler assembly than the Mach X system. With the new addition of the J-Pipes, I don't know if they still use that longer muffler on the Mach-XL system. I do not have ANY drone problems with my system on my LS3, but not sure how well it would suppress the drone on the L99.

I know I've heard all about the drone. I had a 97 Trans Am with SLP's 2 on the Left exhaust, which was pretty loud inside with JBA long tubes and hi flow cats. I dynomatted my entire floor pan and the car was pretty quiet (until the blower and Vigilante 2800 stall tq converter). I am wondering if this is the same. I've matt'ed most of the trunk and all road noise I used to hear coming from behind the rear seat is gone. The only thing spooking me is I PM'd Solo and they said, "Slightly different fit." I don't know exactly what that means.. (e.g burning wiring harnesses due to heat, hitting crossmember, etc)

Yeah, I know what you mean. This is one of the few companies that actually differentiates between the LS3 and L99 for their exhaust system. I'm not sure what the heck would be different as far as fitment. Most other companies just sell for the 2010-11 Camaro SS or the V6. But I suppose I really can't guarantee fitment on the L99 for my system since I never installed it on a L99.

Hi Blazzin1......Since you purchased 2nd hand and put 1100 miles on it, how many total miles would you say is on the Mach X kit? Any clearance issues with that central x-pipe-muffler thingy with the tunnel heatshield?

Well, the previous owner said he only had 750 miles on it. So, I would estimate that there is less than 2,000 miles total on this system. I have over 1" of clearance between the exhaust pipes and the tunnel brace plate. When I first installed it, the muffler was real close to that heatshield you mentioned. It wasn't touching, but I did get some minor vibration "rattling" only at 900 rpms. I put it back up on the lift, and pushed up a little on the heatshield with the butt of a hammer right before and after the muffler, and it's been perfect ever since, no noise at all. If I had it to do over again, I think I would probably just take that heatshield off completely, I really don't see a need for it since the resonators are no longer there. In fact, if this system sells, and I buy another Cat-Back, I am going to do just that...remove the heatshield completely.

I've got to sell some parts myself before I can buy a catback. I'm torn between the Solo Mach-X and MBRP. I've heard both with kooks LT's w/hfc's, it's a tough decision. If you still have it when I get the $$ together I'll shoot you a PM.
