offset and tucking tires?

I like the look of the tires to be under the car not sticking past the fender lip. I'd like to run the ever so popular 20x10 and 20x11 275/315 set up but I'm not 100% on the offsets needed to get the look I desire. The m228 wheels have 35 front and 43 rear. Is this the best there is? Or can the rear be tucked a little better with like a 50mm offset?
2014 ss/rs auto hardtop if this matters.

Ps I just joined after creeping for some time now

Backspacing is typically to get the correct clearance on the inside of the tire, not necessarily to adjust the outside of the tire. Especially when you are trying to squeeze the widest possible tire under the car.

honestly just go with zl1 or 1le offsets and call it a day, I have seen some members squeeze some huge tires on them and still get a drop to work.

If you going with air bags I would get into the nitty gritty but for a drop just go with zl1 specs or close too those.

I don't think the +35mm and +43 will stick out at all past the fender.

Those offsets and tires will tuck fine. I too hate tires that stick out like the oem ZL1 and 1LE wheels
