She said the light was not on. Used the navigation and the car phone when she was close to the destination and said everything worked fine.

Forgot to ask about her bluetooth and the re-link of the phone. I don't think she has tried it yet.

The Service Manager said they'd have to call in a GM Tech/Engineer to troubleshoot the issue. They sent me home but it looks like they'll need my car for a few days sometime next week.

Anyone else have a different result at the dealership?

Hmmm. Will find out next week.

Had the similar types issues with Onstar this past Frid and Sat Maybe it was Sunspots or the Aliens are back from Independence Day. After getting directions did not shut off after stopping Dont remember what I did but it did turn off. After calling for directions on two occasions, to destination Routing would not upload or drop out. After numerous tries Onstar operator called back and said they were having issues and gave me the turn by turn directions manually 2x this weekend. going in for an oil change soon and going to get dealer to check on it as well.

May be mistaken but could have sworn I or a passenger was able to manually) input phone numbers while under motion(instead of using phonebook or voice recog) now I get a msg that you cannot input while under motion

Well folks, all of a sudden, my Bluetooth works as originally designed.

It paired to my phone as soon as I started it up and actually disconnected when I turned the ignition off and opened the door.

I'm convinced it was OnStar with some sort of OTA software update a few weeks ago and then they must have done another OTA update to correct their glitch.

Go and check yours to see if it has fixed itself.

Please report back!

Wow, this is messed up. I just had the same OnStar lock up issues with my car yesterday. Going to have to schedule a trip to the dealer I guess.

Feel like I'm bringing a thread back from the dead, but my car just started doing this recently.

Has anyone had problems after the dealership visit? How much did the fix cost?

Since this happened with an OnStar update, should there be a charge to get it fixed if a fuse pull and unplugging the battery won't work..?

I've got a 2009.5 Pontiac G8 GT w/Bluetooth, and it started exhibiting this same behavior about a month ago. Bluetooth won't disconnect, and OnStar lights stay illuminated on the rear view mirror. Taking it to the dealership tomorrow.
