HELP - Is the shift rod supposed to be bent like this???
So I recently dropped (Removed) my engine LFX motor (because it spun a bearing and has to be replaced). Everything was going great - all the parts were disconnected except...the shift rod (both shift supports were disconnected). I am concerned now that I may have bent it do to the weight of the trans and a lil of the engine (the k-member was being held up by a jack but lowered from the car). I know it has a slight bend from the factory but I am not sure if it was bent further from my stupidity.
What do you guys think? I can't find any good pics online. |

yes the stock piece is bent but i'm not sure if yours has been bent more...
might as well replace it if you can since you have everything out

Unfortunately that piece cannot be purchased separately from the shifter so it's all or nothing lol. I was kind of hoping to upgrade to an MGW short throw but of course the MGW doesn't include that piece lol.
