Got my can installed today. 100+ degrees outside and big hands made for some serious frustration too! I definitely feel better knowing my car is running healthier now.

Which Moroso is everybody using? The 85487 is for 2010 up SS large body, and the 85652 is for 2012 up ZL1 small body. The pictures I see show the brackets that are shown with the 85487 but the 95652 dosen't show the mounting hardware.

Welcome! If you search around the site you will find many many threads about catch cans with more info than you can read in a day.

In short, a catch can catches the oil vapor blow by from the PCV system. Without a catch can your intercooler, supercharger, intake valves and pretty much your entire intake system will become caked with oil over time and your car will lose performance.

Check out a few threads in this LINK and feel free to call, PM or email me if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Tyler

This will explain all if you want to stop all, or nearly all the ingestion.....and JRE has them in stock (or did as of yesterday). The wait is still long for the RX but getting better.

There is no equal in the oil separating ability out there, but even stopping a good deal of it is better than no can.

So I ended up with the Moroso can and I'm super happy.

Agreed. Moroso the best.

I won't mention any names but my shop tried another popular brand on a supercharged SS engine; Could have used it as a smoke machine at a rock concert.

Moroso here - with a little satin black spray paint to clean up the brackets.

I should also mention, there is NO wait on the Elite Engineering catch cans.

Elite worked great for me up to about 10 lbs of boost. Still have it if anyone is interested in perfect shape, regular bracket and custom bent/polished bracket too. It's the Chrome version with matching fittings. New on Elite's website if $225 plus shipping, would let it go for $180.

Here's the new system that's handling the higher boost after drilling the valve cover to 1/4", using the Turbo Technology Unchecked Breather as my safegaurd http://www.turbotechnologyinc.com/site/?page_id=266, with the custom installed RX Monster catch can from Tracy. Working like a champ!
