Different coolants?

Hey guys shouldn't the coolant be the same color on the radiator and on the supercharger reservoir? I have the SLP tvs2300.

Anything better to use for the supercharger other than regular coolant? The blower gets super hot right now here in texas

Are you able to monitor IAT2 on your setup? Have you verified the IC pump is running and coolant is flowing?

I monitor the IAT's 1 from my aeroforce gauges that hook up to the obd port. Ic pump is working coolant is flowing. IAT's are reading 12x normal driving and go up to 140 on a pull.

Im no expert, but with texas temps that doesn't sound too bad. You could try flow testing the pump to make sure its in good shape as they can go bad, or upgrade to a stronger one. A water wetter might help a bit. I'm not sure if a phenolic spacer would help much, I dont see them discussed here much.
The most effective would be a meth kit if you are up for it.

I might be able to fix you up, but I need to make sure the guy buying my Maggie doesn't want the circulation cooler set-up.

When I switched to E85 I no longer needed meth injection so we converted my AIS Meth tank to a cooling water reservoir and switched the meth pump to a water pump, and added a return pump on the Maggie circulation outlet that sends the water back to the reservoir. My IAT's stay down all of the time except at a stop light they may climb to 115F only while I am sitting still.

You can also use this set up as a super-chiller when at the track by putting ice in it!!

Here are a couple of videos sort of explaining the set up.

With this set-up you do away with the little cheezy reservoir that sits under the hot hood and basically use a 5 gal trunk mounted tank to replace it!

So you're saying the ice box works better than meth? I already have the 5gallon tank in the trunk from alky

How much water wetter do I add? How much did it help you.

I didn't say the water cooler works better than meth. They both have different functions. If you are still on 93 pump gas and running high psi (10+) then I would keep the meth for detonation/knock protection.

The guy buying my old Maggie needs the tank and pumps for his set up so it was all a moot point I suppose. I will say that if you ever switch to E85 then you probably wont need the meth injection anymore so at that time you could convert your meth tank to a water circulator, just keep that thought in your back pocket.

Ok thanks. I really want the interchiller system but it makes no sense in wasting money on it if my plans are to go turbo
