So, brother has a 2004 Z06, I'll take delivery of my 2013 ZL1 in May.

Who wins at the 1/4 mile?

Who wins at Road Atlanta?

Very close race driver for driver traction for traction in the 1/4. I remember the 04 ZO6 doing 11.9 bone stock when GMHTP tested it. I think it would come down to driver in good weather. In hot weather my money would be on the ZO6. No idea about the road course.

i think ZL1 could pull off the win on the road course though

Driver vs. Driver will be interesting, i'm 27, he'll be 25 this year (it's my brother) He's had more seat time in his Corvette and I'll have about two weeks to break in the ZL1 and get used to the car before I head down to Auburn, AL to visit him.

I don't get that link. Neither the 2004 Z06 or ZL1 coupe are listed. ..

From what I can gather the Z06 has a slightly better 0-60, the ZL1 has a slightly better 0-100 , while their stock 1/4 miles are quite the same from best to worst as far as magazine reviews go. I'm quite interested to find out.

It would be close I think with the edge going to the ZL1. My brother had one back in the day and I remember him getting 12.30's @ 116.xx when she was bone stock. It took him LT's, CAI, T-body, rockers, tune, and drag radials to break into the 11's at about 120mph.

Drivers race in the 1/4. The twistys I go zl1 all the way! Now way that vett is going to be able to exit a corner and put the power down like the zl1

At 3100lbs and a 295 rear I think you would be very surprised at how well the C5Z puts the power down. I would think the edge would go to the Z on a track.

I am sure it does well, but even with the hefty weight the ZL1 has proven to be a beast on the road course. The car has the best suspension GM has ever put out, better brakes trans and rear coolers... I find it hard to believe a c5 zo6 can go laps with a Zl1.
